Dead Age: Indie Zombie RPG Gem (Review)

Dead Age took me by surprise. There wasn't a single moment of my playing this game that I doubted I hadn't landed a gold mine in a pile of endless Zombie Steam game garbage we constantly see hit the platform. One hour became two. Two became two dozen. During the July 4th weekend, I plunged headlong into this strategic turn-based RPG with reckless abandon. Was the story-line griping? Not really. Did it have great voice acting? Zilch. Huge open world exploration? Nada. What did it have? Great animations and a deep layer of combat that I haven't seen in a Zombie game ever.

Inside the game, there is a light story-line and a sprinkling of decision making that does matter. Also, the only time you hit a save state is when you finish a day. Otherwise, game over man(RIP Bill Paxton). With a dash of roguelike, decisions making a difference and medals that unlock to give you other class arch-types to choose from, Dead Age pulls off replayability well. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and if you are a fan of the genre of zombies or turn-based strategy done right, then Dead Age definitely deserves a look.

Hope you enjoy! Have a good day! :)
