Game Spotlight: Pit People
Game spotlight:
Game spotlight is a series of short blogs I will post regularly on my page, the idea is to cover all types of small and indie games across all platforms that I think are great fun to play and are not too expensive. I personally love playing games made by small studios and independent creators because they tend to be more unique, so you are often in for a lot of surprises.
Pit People is a turn based action role-play strategy game.
The game is about a character called Horatio who is a humble farmer who's life gets turned upside down by a giant evil bear, the story is also about the characters he meets along the way, for example the princess who's castle gets attacked by bandits and during the attack her father dies so she aims to get revenge for her father.
Through the game you come across various different people and creatures who you can recruit to fight for you;
Each character has different base stats and resistances so when building a team you can build towards having strengths in multiple areas, from fighting characters will also gain XP towards levelling up along with this as you go through the story you will find different weapons and armour for your team.
The enemies in the game for the most part are bandits which will mostly have a few melee and ranged soldiers per troop, the other types of enemies can also become teammates through capturing them.
The way the game actually works is you go from area to area mostly wear the bear want you to go, along the road from place to place is where you will come across enemies. If you decide to fight you will have to walk up to them, once engaged you will have a turn based fight placing your group on a tile next to the enemy to attack them.
Pit People is a lot of fun to play as you have a lot of choices to make towards who and what you want in your troop as you go through the game and there is a lot of character customization, the style of the game fits well with other games from Behemoth and it looks like this game will be part of a wider series. I also think the choice of music along with the voice over goes well with the game, however I am never really a fan of in-game music in all types of games so I tend to turn it down when playing.
I will be live streaming a bit of the Pit People story at
what the game is like, I won't be using a mic just playing through a
bit if the game.

Is it free to play?
You should try and cover free to play games also. Just make a list of you favorite ones. I would like to know your opinion :)
This game isn't free to play however I have covered a few, if people are interested I would be happy to make a list of free to play games. :)
It's always useful to know some good free Steam games you can waste a few hours on :) Though it's not that easy to find those gems. That's why I'm hoping you can make a list of your own to share :)
very true, I will try to make a list at some point during the next week.
