Game Spotlight: Cannon Brawl

Game spotlight:

Game spotlight is a series of short blogs I will post regularly on my page, the idea is to cover all types of small and indie games across all platforms that I think are great fun to play and are not too expensive. I personally love playing games made by small studios and independent creators because they tend to be more unique, so you are often in for a lot of surprises.

Cannon Brawl:

Cannon Brawl is a 2D action strategy game that can be plaid in single player or multiplayer.

The main aim of the game is to destroy your opponent's castle, however it isn't quite as simple as that. To get to the enemies castle you will have to get through towers whilst trying to protect your own, there is also offensive and defensive towers; defensive towers shield and area in-front of them, the more upgrades the thicker the shield, and for offensive there is a wider range of towers.

Each player also has a captain that flies around in a blimp to use and upgrade towers;

Overall the game has five different characters that each bring a unique in-game ability to help you in various different ways.

As the game is a strategy game there is a lot of different things you can do to win, you can go build towards deference and have very powerful shields to cover all of your owned area and slowly poke down or you can build fully offensive and just attack, attack and try to win as fast as possible.

In game you can also completely destroy all of the terrain so you can play tactically and rather than specifically hitting a tower to kill it you could hit the ground underneath it so it will fall a distance down and get destroyed, or if it doesn't get destroyed it could get stuck in a hole and have to shoot its way out.

I think Cannon Brawl is a lot of fun because it is so tactical it creates a lot of different ways to play the game, the whole game is also put together very well and runs very smoothly. I also like the style of the game as it looks really clean and the style fits with the game play well.
