Asus Grapics Cards for 2017: dee's top 3
Now I haven't done a Graphic Card review before and we all have to start somewhere I see so many fantastic posts on Graphics cards , computer components , cases and much more I have read up most posts I come across and thought to myself you know what I would like to do something like this and thought I would give it an attempt and see how I actually do compared to my game reviews modelling posts ect ect...
so lets try this shall we so to no avail here we have my top 3 Graphics Cards of 2017..
Number 3- Asus ROG Strix RX 460
Comes with fan connect a supplimenting cooling system with duel pin pwm GPU controlled headers for exceptional management of your towers intername temperiture .
The units built in fan design create significant Air preasure over the heat sync .
It features x split game caster monitoring and the lights are bright and vibrant how ever it unclocks above 60 degrees celsius this is a budget gaming Card but I would say the higher end of the budget Cards
Looks :
It has a strict dominating look about it with the Aztec sort of theme going on aura enabled which is probably why it is in the high end of the cheaper Cards 6 pin power connector .
Heat pipes sticking out of the back to give it an interesting look on the IO you have a display port , HDMI port and a DVI port available on this card .
This isn't what you would call a AAA gaming card this is more directed towards people who play games like myself such as Arma 3 , CS:GO , overwatch and other games like that .
It isn't a 4k card it is not a 1440 it is a 1080p very simple low graphic intensity style of gaming
So getting this card would be down to the looks I would say obviously with the aura RGB on there, If that's something that you want then this is going to be the card for you
If your not bothered about that and you have a closed tower then you may be better of looking somewhere else with the 460's you can find something a little bit cheaper that can do just as well as this
NUMBER 2 - Asus GeForce GTX 1060
This comes with duel HDMI 2.0 ports , can simultaniously connect to your headset and your monitor .
It comes ready to interface with virtual reality units and to display games and videos in 4k without any lag .
It includes a 1708 mhz boost clock and offers a consistent performance at 60 fps but the heat sync is too small
The 1060 is 80% faster than the GeForce GTX 960
Oh I forgot to mention
If you buy Asus Gaming Cards or Motherboards you can get free premium game time and a free ships in World of Warships (wows) I love world of warships.
Now this does have a 8-pin PCI-Express Power connector so you'll want a 400 watt or better power supply for this card.
Looks :
If your the type of person that color coordinates your system like me , with a side window in your case and you want to make your motherboard and your card and your system lighting match fair enough it may well be worth the money because you will get a very nice lighting system .
Triple fans 0 speed fans so when the card is not under load the fans will not spin making it completely silent , full RGB led's , Full back plate installed - Most 1060's do not come with a back plate they are mostly ascetic especially of a card at that power level but it does protect all the circuits
Ports: 2x Display Port 1.4 , 1x DVI-D , 2x HDMI 2.0b .
NUMBER 1 - Asus Geforce Turbo GTX 1080 ti
Comes with GPU tweaked software that gives you extensive monitoring and adjustment capability's ,
It offers reliable performance without a lot of manipulation it features and Aura rgb lighting effect and is ready for both 4k and vr ,
It displays on up to 4 monitors at once
It is one of the fastest graphics cards out there and smash alot of bench mark records .
LOOKS :
Not anything to look at no bells and whistles and fancy gadgets it's a very stealthy looking Graphics with no backing plate on terms of a 2 slot design
No rgb , and no super expensive cooler on it , Even though it doesn't have the super expensive cooler it definitely does not get hot and doesn't get loud either
2x ball bearing fans which last twice as long .
On the back you have a led lit ASUS logo which looks quite tidy
It is VR ready , 2x HDMI 2.0 , 2x Display ports , so has everything you needs but nothing you do not needs . So if your after raw performance this is the one to go with .
This offers an unprecedented level of performance whether were talking about things like UHD gaming , maximum image quality settings , multi monitor gaming , VR , dynamic super resolution etc ... this is really enabling all of those
under full load can offer about 80 degree's depending on the actual gaming load it is focused on the key areas where you see a difference between the turbo and the founders edition reference design card .
It features a 8+2 powered face delivery design which mean s it is not going to offer any lower performance than compared to the founder edition .
it uses IR power stages for the overall power delivery , fully molded conductors high quality SMT base compositors
This is a really great card to consider for those more compact gaming systems just like my own build ie ... micro ATX or systems where you have SLI so 2 of these GPU's set up .
Taking a look at its flexibility at being able to be put in these systems while still offering very aggressive price point for pretty much one of the fastest GPU's you can get .
