What is Arma 3 .

So your sitting on the Arma 3 steam page and your debating whether you should pick the game up or not . Well your in luck ,

I am going to be covering the Single Player , Multi Player , Game Play and pro's and con's of the game so by the end of the review you will be able to figure out whether you should but it or not .

As most of you will know last month I did a long ass review on Arma 3 , From personal experience which involved a 4 PART review based on myself and a fellow gamer writing up everything on how to play , down to survival admins servers that lot .
So here we go lets get on and see if I can sway you to buy the game for yourself Have fun so sit back relax and enjoy some ready on ARMA 3 .

Arma 3 is the 3rd installment on the Arma series

That is created by bohemian interactive
The main premise is putting Military shooter with the sense of realism , Tactics and Massive customization to the hands of gamer .

Campaign

So the campaign takes place on an Island called Altis it is estimated to be 1000 km's to 620 miles of island that you can go through an explore not only on Single player but on Multi Player as well .
In the campaign you take control of an enlisted Soldier on Altis that is there to witness a peaceful zone turn Hostile causing all contacts in your command to be cut off .
You work with your team mates to survive and try to grasp what it is that is going on .
Once you get your bearing you launch your assault on the enemy
Campaign is worth a play through it deals with a lot more mature themes which some shooters such as Call of Duty tend to make us loose grasp of what being in combat really means and is like .
Arma puts us in the front seat an an enlisted soldier seeing a whole new perspective as a war starts and unravels right in front of your eyes , which most games nowadays don't really do

Multiplayer

So on Multiplayer we have a huge amount of options that you can go through and play for games and a bunch of servers that you can join , Before I continue a server i do suggest you should try from A3 LAUNCHER is Wet Werks chernaus redux just type W-W and it will pop up in the list .
Another personal faveroite of mine is a co-op based gameplay called KING OF THE HILL
there's 3 teams that you can play with up to 120 other on the server , The 3 teams fight over a town and towers that are placed throughout the town with a tall one in the center which is about 3 storeys high , In this mode you can go through and earn money which allows you to buy better weapons and get better skins as you level up .Everything you do when it comes to weapons costs money
Vehicles will also cost you money so getting in the zones you might be better jumping into your pals heli .
Another one that is fun to play too is called

ESCAPE FROM(.......)

usually followed by the Island name that you are on , IE.. ( chernarus , altis , tanoa ) ect ect .

In this mode you are placed into a prison with multiple other players with two back backs in the center that have pistols in them but only some Ammo , You work with your team mates to take out the guards and then take all of there equipment which can be Vests , Backpacks , weapons and clothing.You then explore the area looking for more resources and coms towers to request an e vac , when you get a map you are able to see all the Objectives on the Island that could possibly be coms towers or other Resources that are useful to you and end up with attack choppers and tank. Really is great fun . As for all the player modes there is so many of them I will go into depth in another post if this one does will to explain further about this form of Game play .

Poor optimization

The games performance is primarily based on your processing power and not so much on your GPU / Graphics Card , If you crank up the Graphics it does help but again the processor again is the heavy lifter in this one I myself run a Ryzen 3 , 1050 ti and find myself anywhere between 25 and 80 fps when you get into more densely area or where there is a whole lot of Gunfire your frames tend to drop . If your on a mid range gaming system please take this into consideration .
As fun as the game is there is nothing more frustrating than going on and firing an enemy who is only a few feet away from you to have frame rate drop to around 3fps But even on a good machine there is a lot of errors that you can go through and experience

One of the biggest ones is The MEMORY LEAK which doesn't seem to happen as often as it used to.

Essentially you will be running fine having a whole bunch of fun as you have been on the game for quite a few hours .. You will have a Memory Leak and your Machine will go through and struggle essentially dropping you to 3fps for about a minute of two , Leaving you to stay in place and playing like fuck that you don't die .

Learning Curve

The learning curve for new players tends to be a little bit high which again is why you should go through and trial campaign before getting into multiplayer . If your going to play Multiplayer check out King of the Hill first , It tends to be action packed and filled with a whole ton of people .Besides King of the Hill a lot of the other game modes can be very slow paced which may not be for everybody , On a side note you can go through and enjoy the scenery on a less chaotic times you are experiencing between the battles . It's also a good time in a chopper ride to make some new friends

PRO's

To end this post lets go over some Pro's we have not gone over,
The developers are always working on some new DLC (Downloadable Content ) Which you can pick up , Whether it be something related to JETS , new marksmen rifles , bigger islands or even Islands from the previous games ,
The community tend to be intimate at times especially if you are frequent in a server making it easy to get to know people and make friends,.
Everyone tends to be very welcoming as long as your respectful and having a good time (But nope that is not me I tend to be the rogue in the pack )

Also being a leader and getting a group of people to work together is a huge plus for you and will get you far
The vehicles and weapons in Arma are based around the real things -and there is Ballistics in this game which allow you to shoot through certain materials depending on what caliber your using so if you have a high enough caliber you can damage vehicles and choppers quite heavily trust me there is nothing more satisfying than blowing a chopper out of the sky knowing your enemy are in there with the gear they stole of you earlier on in the game play ... MUWAHAHAHAHA .
