As a pyro main, I never really bothered with the degreaser. The upsides seem to small to make any significance.
I prefer the Backburner, because the loss of the (fair and balanced) random crits is outweighed greatly by the ability to surprise and perma-crit opponents from behind.
actually the backburner can random crit now. I think it has something to do that the crit from every angle bug a little while ago
