[VAINGLORY STORY] BARON CHAPTER 1: "SIERRA KILO YANKEE ECHO"
Hello Stemian
The baron opened the door leading to the private garage. The shining blue color on his skin illuminated the Heavy Armor Rapid Deployment armor that was placed there. The armor had been prepared for the family's new alliance, with helmets and joints carved into the roaring tiger's head, power amplification technology with tactile and powerful grip controls deliberately designed to withstand large kinetic power. Her thumb pressed the lockpad and the exoframe began to open with a low hum. He realized he was still holding the silver cage. He lowered it and opened the door. The geese gripped furiously as if lecturing him before running out of the hangar.
At the Electoral Ceremony, a servant walks with his back bent in, past the ranks of the groom, then hands over a large silver cage to the Baron. Inside the cage, a geese looks angry, flapping its wings and hissing. The other groom holds a wooden swan symbolizing the poultry's tendency to produce offspring throughout his life. However, Baron's mother insisted that her eldest son should reward the goose of life to her in-laws.
Apparently, nobody is at all disturbed by the fact that the swan has been forcibly taken from a spouse altogether just for the benefit of this ceremony.
Some bride-to-be forced themselves to smile pleasantly, their sad eyes fixed across the room, toward the man they wished they could marry. The Niger Tiger's expression could not be read as he bowed before the Baron's parents, his hands full of chestnut and dates as a symbol of the children he was about to deliver to the Baron in the future. Baron thinks he'll never know if he's the first choice Nari or not. Besides that is not important.
"The fireworks appear too early!" Baron's mother screamed anxiously as she pointed to the window. The guests began to whisper as they scrambled to go outdoors. The Baron's father clucked, put his arm around his son's shoulders and led him to join the guests.
"Your mother will definitely make the pyrotechnician decapitated," she whispered.
"No doubt," said the Baron. "The other Mothers always pay attention to every mistake."
Upon arriving at the door, they were both intercepted by the general. "Sir," he said as he leaned closer to the Baron's father. "It's not a firework."
The three men hurried out together, studying the bright night sky above the crystal mine.
"Who has the interest to attack the mining area?" Whispered Baron's father.
"No one on the peninsula," the General replied. "But the Tigers ..."
"They're on our side now."
"And they do not have this kind of fire power."
The sky was suddenly filled with explosions of blue fire and smoke rising from the only source of power in the place, the only treasure they had. "No, they do not," Baron said as he began to understand what was going on. "But we have."
The General's view met with the Baron and then he turned, combing the room to find someone he could not find.
The baron came out of his house, running toward the smoke that threaded in the air with the crystal flakes that came down to his skin and made him glow blue. Behind him, the families gathered, their panic turned into a whisper of whispers. The baron followed in the footsteps of the wilted orchids, the loose screw and the golden rings to the Skye lift. The blue coat Skye was wearing at the Electoral Ceremony was lying there.
There are times when I wish this mine disappeared forever.
The baron removed his rings and his silver embroidered coat and wore an exosuit. It immediately covered his body, and finally, the helmet covered his head. HUD starts to blink when skydoor flickers open. Jump jets start off with rumble and vibration that make teeth chatter. He bent his knees and the exoframe joined the bend with him, every movement seemed so powerful. He jumped and jumped through the skydoor, flying high above the hangar, high enough to make infrared technology in his visors recognize the workers in their cages, the burning mines, and finally, on the coastline of the peninsula, he found a hot sign. In that place, the Baron knows the girl will be waiting for him.
As always, there were times when she wished she did not have to go back down.
"Sierra Kilo Yankee Echo," he said, "do you hear me?"
