Mineski and LGD Gaming give an impression to the entire tournament, both playing with superb games played from the group stage until the last minute of the tournament. Mineski reached the grand final straight from the top bracket where they cut OpTic Gaming, Vici Gaming and LGD in the final top bracket. The Chinese team took down the EG, Team Liquid and started the final day with a remarkable victory against Virtus.pro in the lower bracket to force a rematch with Mineski.

Grand finals broke out with the execution of Tiny design, Phantom Assassin, Slardar, Ancient Apparition from LGD. Wang "Ame" Chunyu was able to bully Mineski from the laning stage to ending his team's six-game defeat vs Mineski.

Mineski's victory in Dota 2 Asia Championship 2018 pushed the team into fourth place in the DPC rankings, while LGD is also happy to advance among the top eight. At the end of the tournament, four Chinese teams sit in the top eight: Newbee in 5th place, VG on 6th place, LGD in seventh place and VGJ.Thunder at 8th place. Until now, Mineski is the only SEA team in the last eight and DAC 2018 represents their ticket to TI8.

There are only a few tournaments to play in the current DPC season. Next is the StarLadder ImbaTv Invitational S5 Minor, which will begin next week in Kiev, Ukraine, followed by EPICENTER XL Major at the end of the month. The Dota Pro circuit will end in June with three more Major scheduled to take place from 15 May to 10 June.
