Splinterlands | Equal Opportunity Battle Challenge
This is another Game Rule in Splinterlands that simply makes the game a lot more fun as it changes things up completely and allows for very creative decks which can get wild. Especially monsters who have both Melee and Ranged attacks tend to be super strong, especially alongside monsters with low health and the Martyr ability. Having armor is also an absolute must in this game rule and magic, especially with the Blast ability also is very strong. So too many possible strategies to put in one single deck so difficult choices have to be made. Pretty much like all decks, Speed remains a key factor also!
My personal Play Style always has been very Melee oriented and I do have quite some cards available for it. The other 2 Game Rules in this match were that Magic always hit Armor and Monsters with Taunt to get hit by double damage.
I opted for my Daria Dragonscale Dragon Summoner which I recently upgraded from Level 5 to Level 6 (Link) combined with the Death Splinter as I like to play my High-Speed Nightmare card as main Tank even though there are many other viable other options in each of the other splinters. All the other cards were either Dragon or Neutral Cards which also shows their power. In 2nd Place I opted for the Legionnaire Alvar mostly to reduce the Melee attack of the enemy monsters which did for sure help. In 3rd and 5th place I opted for very high damage output monsters with the Carnage Titan and The Vigilator who were placed to get boosted by the Martyr ability of the Vruz who was sure to die first. In last place I put my Arkemis The Bear for the main reason to give all monsters +2 Armor.
My opponent did reduce my armor but overall had no chance also according to the splinterstats which showed a 100% win rate for my deck..
