If gaming is your greatest hobby, maybe a reprimand "do not play games go on, learn there" often out of your parents mouth. You still have to go to school, college and work to pursue your dreams, but what if you want to pursue the dream of becoming an Esport professional player? This is the dilemma felt by pro player Overwatch - Lucas "Mendokusaii" Hakanson, but unexpected if his wish to become an Esport player is really supported by his father to take the decision to dismiss his school to focus on his dream.

Lucas did not think his father would make that decision. The original plan at the time was just a one-year stop-out from school to see if Esport was the right destination for her. But Lucas's father took a more extreme decision and reported to the school administration if he quit the school without asking him again.

Of course this is a surprising surprise for Lucas. He revealed that when he was a kid, the father was not happy with the hobby of playing Lucas games, especially with the impact of bad value caused by this addiction to play. He had scolded Lucas with words like "You're too addicted to playing games. The game for you to be a violent person, "or" People in Korea died because of addiction to playing World of Warcraft. "Not quite up there, Lucas was forbidden by the father to play games again to improve the value of the school. This makes Lucas depressed and agitated but not enough to eliminate the hobby of playing Lucas games.

In his teenage years, he refocused on playing games, but now he takes gaming more seriously. He played with his friend not just for "fun", but also to train his competitive skills. He has a big dream to perform in the famous Esport leagues. Henrik Hakanson - the father who was fully responsible for Lucas and his brother after the departure of his wife is now beginning to realize that being an Esport player is really a dream of Lucas and he has little choice.

Henrik who worked as an IT worker initially did not understand what made Esport so much for Lucas, but slowly he tried to understand by playing with Lucas. He also took this extreme decision so that Lucas can be more focused in the pursuit of this dream although he still not so agree with Esport as this career.

"He wants me to focus on gaming and pursue my dreams. If I fail, then I fail."

After being discharged from school, Lucas practiced up to 18 hours of play. The father keeps making sure the refrigerator is filled and the house remains clean while the child is practicing Overwatch. Fortunately this extreme decision has paid positive results so far for the family. Lucas has played on various teams and is now playing for a sizable team - the Outlaws and besides he is quite popular among the Overwatch community as a streamer in Twitch. All this he accomplished in his 19 years old.

Lucas felt lucky to get a father who was really supportive to him. Now he lives in Los Angeles to compete in the next Overwatch league, a place far from where the father lives in Sweden. Despite the difference in place and timezone, the father still provides support to Lucas from a distance, and now he's playing Overwatch.

"When you hear people shouting in my street in Sweden, that's my dad being mad at his team," Lucas said.

@chrisnicola2 Lucas dad is such an open-minded and supportive guy. Without him, Lucas won't be able to go far in Overwatch.

All the best for this young fellow~

parental support is very important.
