NIDHOGG 2 PC - REVIEW

Hello wonderful steemians, it’s another bright day again, hope we are having a amazing week ahead. Today, I’m bringing to the community another amazing game review. This game is called Nidhogg 2, and it is the follow up of the first one called Nidhogg. Everyone will love this game, any age, and also any gender. This time, I will be making a review on an action/casual/indie game game. It is a game played by gamers and non- hardcore gamers, most especially the non- hardcore gamers. So I will like everyone to sit back and relax as I review the amazing adventure game.

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Nidhogg 2 is an action, casual, indie game. The worm is back and it must eat. Release your garments and paint the walls with the flesh of your enemies, just one can be worthy of sacrifice. It is quite a short game, but that doesn’t stop the fact that it is packed with a lot of fun. While the arcade game mode is rather short at eleven stages, the local and online multiplayer options will keep wanting for more. If you were a fan of the previous version, you’ll most likely enjoy this release as it’s simply the same but with new and fun additions.
In Nidhogg 2, you never know how long a game will go when facing off with a new opponent, but if you don’t like never ending matches, it also allows you set time limits and if the time limit is met, it will roll into a sudden death, single-screen duel to determine the winner.
Also, in Nidhogg 2, you can limit which weapons you can spawn in with, either disable throws, dive kicks, or slides.

Nidhogg 2 requires a decent computer inorder to run the game smoothly. The Minimum Requirements for Nidhogg 2 requires you to have at least a dual core processor and a 2gig ram to enjoy the excitement and fun of the game.

GAMEPLAY
Firstly, the beauty of the previous Nidhogg was in its simplicity. Its flat design style fed into what was a exciting and focused experience. In Nidhogg 2, the developer Messhof has expanded the multiplayer fencing game with more variety of maps and different weapon types.
Secondly, the rules of the game are simple. Reach the other side and kill anyone that obstructs your way. Riddle their bowels with arrows, or squish their brains between your toes.
Thirdly, if you've played the original Nidhogg, you'll feel very much at home playing this release. The gameplay is basically unchanged. Kill your opponent and run towards their side of the screen until you reach the final screen and get eaten by the Nidhogg. The both players start with a weapon and can hold it in three different positions, either high, medium or low, also can choose to throw it as a projectile. It's also possible to do a jump, a dive kick, a slide kick, or sweep the leg in order to potentially beat the opponent to death.
Fourthly, In Nidhogg 2, it is all about possessing the arrow. After someone gets killed, the killer gets the arrow indicating they can move on to the next screen. The killed player will soon re-spawn ahead in between the player with the arrow and the next screen in an attempt to kill them and take back the arrow for themselves.
Lastly, moving a weapon from one elevation to another while coming in contact with the enemy's weapon will take away the weapon from them and also throwing their weapon to the ground. Holding a weapon at its highest can block thrown weapons from affecting you. This game is all about reading your opponent's moves and taking advantage of their mistakes with accuracy.

WHAT’S NEW
This game is the sequel to the previous release. Nidhogg 2 builds upon the amazing gameplay of the previous one with new added weapons, also wield and levels to master also with complete character customization.

FEATURES OF NIDHOGG 2:

1. Challenge the computer AI or a friend in 1v1 combat.
2. Fight for the top seat in 8-player tournaments.
3. Master the distinctive traits of four weapons.
4. You can get stylish with full character customization.
5. The game has ten stages from castles to Nidhogg innards.
6. You can alter the rules with over 10 different game variables.

GENERAL TIPS

1. Don’t go after the opponent for a long periods of time.
2. It’s very difficult to run down the opponent, and most times, you save much time by running off the edge of the screen and re-spawning.
3. Always roll while ducking a projectile, cos it allows you to keep close to the ground while staying in motion.
4. You can sweep by attacking from a roll if the opponent is blocking high, and this will knock them down and usually sets you up for a kill.
5. Jump kicks are far more vulnerable in Nidhogg 2 than it was in Nodhogg, so don’t go crazy with it.

PROS

CONS

1. missing stat screen at the end of a session that listed out kills or death per player, and how long the match lasted.
2. The graphics of the game might not appeal to everyone.

GRAPHICS
The visuals in this game is good.

Firstly, the graphics of this game might not appeal to everyone, but it is a vibrant and clean one. While I'm not the biggest fan of the characters designs themselves, I have started liking the visual art style.
Secondly, the stages, look amazing while in motion, and the characters are weird enough to be cool.
Thirdly, this is a visually enhanced Nidhogg, with more varieties of arenas and weapons.
Thirdly, Nidhogg 2 replaces the sleek and flat style of the previous game with a much more colorful and vibrant cartoonish style.
Lastly, the arena is still painted with their colored blood when they die, but because the arenas are so much more detailed chaotic, it looks less like a mess of clashing colors.

SOUND AND MUSIC
The sound and music quality of this game is good.

VERDICT
Nidhogg 2 is an action packed game with lots of intense and fun moments. It makes for two player combat game that is funny and exciting to play with friends.
The visual style of this game might appeal to everyone, but its sharp, minimalist style is smart, clean and action packed enough to allow for endless and tiredless competition.

MY EXPERIENCE
Nidhogg 2 for me is a nice game, it reminds me of the previous Nidhogg. The game fun and exciting, the graphics is good and the sound and music is also good. Overall, my experience with this game has been a great with a lot of excitement and fun. I really enjoyed every time I spent on the game. So much fun about the game, and above all, it is a great game and an interesting one at that.
