Top 5 CS:GO Professional Players Caught Cheating
Just like a lot of athletes were caught using ability enhancing supplements, professional CS:GO players are also spotted and punished for using cheats. Though it is really sad to witness such cowardly behavior, there's lots of speculations that cheating has been going on for a long time in the CS:GO higher league. I've created a list of the top 5 pro players caught red-handed. I'll include videos of the bans happening if possible, so lets check it out.
1) Player: SF (Team Epsilon)
SF joined Team Epsilon in June, 2014. He was banned before DreamHack 2014 while streaming. SF's ban lead to the team's disqualification out of the competition, which was very devastating for the team, as the chance of competing was pulled out right in front of their eyes.
2) Player: Fodder ("Pro" CS:GO Streamer)
Fodder had a lot of followers on Twitch, making him a full-time streamer as well as giving him enough income to live off streaming. Though it all changed when he was banned during a live-stream, supposedly for aimbotting. Though he tried to excuse himself by saying it had something to do with a smurf account, it didn't change the fact that he was a transparent cheater.
3) Player: Flex / Match: ESP vs Grandpa Berets (ESEA)
We can see that ESP had been dominating Grandpa Berets until a message pops up that Flex has been banned. Judging from the reactions of ESP, Flex's teammates had no clue that he was using cheats. Flex was a stand-in in that match and from researching ESP's comments, they said it a very rushed decision and they only needed him to play a couple of games. Didn't work out well, it seems.
4) Player: Emilio / Match: Team Property vs HellRaisers (FragBite Masters)
This was a pretty high-profile match, which shocked everyone when the ban occurred mid-game. Even the live commentators found themselves struggling for words.
5) Player: KQLY (Team Titan)
KQLY was banned in the same wave of bans before DreamHack 2014 ensued. The team was supposed to appear in DreamHack Winter 2014 the upcoming week with a prize pool of $250.000, though they never played a match because of KQLY's ban.
Thanks for reading and share your thoughts!
that's a shame
Lots of people believe and try to prove that cheating in the pro CS:GO scene still occurs. Though most of them look clean.
Well, even pros are just people, and people slip. That was unexpected topic. Great post.
