While i agree with some of what you said. I disagree a lot other things. The biggest problem with game addaption stuff is they dont even keep the plot or loor of the game they just take kind of what the character is and have them do what the character kind of does.
I know many gamers who don't go into a game going OOOOO that leveling system looks fun. who does that, that is all the boring stuff the story and where you go from point to point the worlds and the mythos of the game because these things is what make it interesting. game play just keeps them invested in the game so they do not leave half way through.
i can tell you now even if a game looked fun to play if there was not something story wise or like other element to it then i would pass on it.
Thanks for the reply. I am far more into games without a strong plot where I am able to make up my own story. I love RPG games where I can get addicted to the leveling up and gear collection. I suppose if I wanted a good plot I would read a book or watch a film. What is it about game plot that makes it enjoyable for you?
I guess its just that I like getting lost in the story of the world. To me a game is an intractable book or movie. I read books and watch movies to I just really like interesting stories. It is just something that is hard to put into words and I actually like rpg games as well but for the worlds they usually create jrpg especially are always really interesting.
