My road through Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Hello everyone! I'm going to be talking about my road through Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

I feel like I have been through everything on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. By that I mean that I have been through the high and the lows of my time on CS:GO. After all I have spent way too much time and money on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. But before I tell you about my good and bad times and all that I have done on CS:GO. I'm going to have to take you back to the beginning.

As you probably see I have spent way too much time on this one game. But still for some reason I always go back to it and continue playing it. But as I said lets start from the beginning. So Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was one of the first games I bought for PC and this was over 4 years ago. Back then I just played for fun and with my friends just having fun nothing serious. Then when I heard there was a competitive side to CS:GO I just remember thinking to myself that I would like to be that good and maybe someday compete at LAN events and online tournaments. I was so interested on the fact that you could actually make money just by playing video games. Fast forward a couple of years and I have made some progress gotten better and climbed the ranks of Matchmaking. At this point I think I was at MG1- DMG and this is pretty good cause I started from the worst rank that is Silver 1.

At this point I had to buy a new steam account and a new copy of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for it because all my friends had fallen behind and back then I cared way too much about my rank. So I made a new account and played with my lower ranked friends on that account. And I thought I was so good at the game but I would get reminded that I'm not even close to being good at the game when I played on my main account. I was stuck for the longest time in the same rank and at this time in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive the rank was known as the quicksand rank and this rank was DMG (Distinguished Master Guardian). After I got out from that rank it was slow and steady to get better but it was a long painful road with a lot swearing and a lot of quitting. But now days I have been through all the ranks. I started from the worst rank and it took me 2 and a half years to get to Global Elite for the first time.

Here is an old picture were you can see my rank like 3-4 years ago and the first knife I ever unboxed

If you have ever played Counter-Strike: Global Offensive you know how frustrating the game can be and how the hitreg and nothing ever seems to be working every time you play and just keep getting frustrated and feeling like the unluckiest person alive as you can see here. There has been way too many times to count that I have given up or not wanted to play anymore and just wanted to walk away from my PC. But still somehow I always return to this game. But moving on I have played in many teams and the most recent was a the city's team where I live and I played for that team for over a year I think and now recently I have had a problem with motivation to play but I have gotten back some of my motivation by streaming the game and having fun playing instead of tryharding. But in the time I was in the most recent team we played in many LAN events but haven't been able to finish first in a single event. But there is always time for that.

Here is different events and the placements of them in my time on the most recent team.

In conclusion if you are thinking about getting into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive I would say that you should buy it cause there is always something to do and it never gets boring. You are gonna have times when you just want to quit and never play again but there are gonna be a lot of great times that you are gonna look back at and just laugh. And in CS:GO there is always room to improve and get better which makes it fun and rewarding when you play good.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my road through Counter-Strike: Global Offensive so far!

Have a great weekend!

@casasa

That could be cool!

Awesome post man! I can't even imagine how it must feel after that many hours of playing :D atleast you must have some really great memories from all that time :)

Keep steemin!

I sure do have a lot of good ones but also a lot of bad ones :D And as you probably saw the link there is a recent not so fun time....
And I will!

CS is the only game that I can continuously play. There’s always something new to learn, always ways to improve. I guess I didn’t realize how fortunate I was but I made Global in I think 60 MM wins lol!

That's really good! It took me like 300-400 wins to get global the first time :D But it might be cause I pretty much hadn't played at all on mouse and keyboard before I started playing CS:GO.

Oh yah that will do it. I bet your aim is good in all FPS games now :p

Yeah I like to think so :) but there are much better players then me though.
