Retro Gaming - Smartball (SNES) ¡Fun and addiction in a single cartridge!🎮
Hello everyone I am Steemiant again, today I will introduce you this fun videogame called "Smartball" was developed in the year 1991-1992 by the big companies Epic Sony Records and System Sacom, mainly for the Super Nintendo video game console which took it to the success as it is a totally simple game full of action and adventure and a number of challenges that we will have to overcome until we reach the end of the game and achieve victory.
Smartball has a simple but very funny story, it all starts with a king named Jerry, but his brother Tom was always jealous towards him and always wanted to be like him, when he finds himself in that situation he goes to the magical powers of a mysterious witch who transforms King Jerry in a blue ball. With Jerry turned into a ball we will have to go through a number of levels defeating all enemies and overcoming all obstacles to reach the end, beat the evil witch and get back to normal form of king.
Graphically speaking Smartball is very well designed as it has a very striking cartoon style that has a high range of colors that take us into a world of fantasies, full of colors with fluid movements and well animated, all scenarios are totally different, well designed and very detailed, the characters have incredible abilities out of the ordinary.
If we talk about the soundtrack and the FX of Smartball are incredibly nice and friendly, all the melodies are cheerful and they convey positive emotions perfectly accompanying each and every one of the scenarios in which we are, the FX are great and range from voices , bounces, blows etc that are fun to listen to when playing.
The gameplay of Smartball is very simple and addictive at the same time, since it has a unique character in video games, we are talking about a ball with a jelly-like appearance, with two eyes and a mouth called Jerry, who was previously the king of a very beautiful kingdom
The ball or the protagonist Jerry has incredible abilities that will allow us to defend ourselves from the enemies, these movements can be from stretching your body to hit enemies, crushing enemies or throwing objects or balls at enemies
The protagonist or the Jerry Bolla also has skills such as sticking to a wall, ceilings and any material or object that is in an upright position. Note: these moves will help us or give us an advantage over enemies to evade or eliminate them more easily
The only goal in this game is to control the protagonist or Jerry ball to the last level, always eliminating all enemies, overcoming all obstacles, solving all the riddles and many more things that will appear in the middle of the venture, reach the final and regain its normal form of King the Jerry
Smartball is a traditional platform videogame but with a slightly more unique protagonist and with totally different abilities to many videogame protagonists, I recommend it 100% since it is a fun and very addictive game at times.
In summary Smartball is a very nice and colorful videogame platform, it is a game made for children but we also enjoy adults like me, because it has an excellent gameplay and different from others, has excellent graphics and different for each level, it also has a soundtrack that perfectly accompanies all levels of the game.
