Retro Gaming - Kolibri (32X) ¡A brave Colibri!
Hi to all Steemiant colleagues, today we present this video game called "Kolibri" was developed in 1995 by the big companies Novotrade and Ed Annunziata, the game is about a beautiful hummingbird that has a small mission to save the world, bringing with I follow a game mode that is usually very fun for the youngest of the house. Although it was considered a rare video game, it is still very funny and addictive at the same time, it had a comparison with the fantastic video game Ecco the Dolphin.
Kolibri has a unique story full of adventures, it all starts with the existence of two beautiful crystals, one that created life and another that destroyed what the first crystal created, that is why we are given the great mission of taking care and protecting the crystal that gives life so that it is not destroyed, so we will have to take it to a safe place in the jungle accompanied by a beautiful hummingbird with the sole purpose of saving the world from any evil plan, in the great adventure we will find different animals that inhabit in the jungle that will put obstacles in our way that we will have to overcome, and save the world.
Kolibri is one of the best videogames graphically speaking since it has some characters of good size and very well detailed, in the video game we can see birds of different sizes either small or large but quite realistic, with a great graphic speed that is usually unique for this type of game, we can also visualize typical scenarios of a jungle or fauna that have a high range of colors and flashes that gives us a feeling of being stuck in the skin of the protagonist, which in this case is a hummingbird.
Kolibri has a very special soundtrack and with unique sound Fx for its time, during the great adventure we can listen to melodies that go according to the flora and fauna and the plot of the game, each stage has a different track but without leaving the line of the game, all the melodies are beautiful to listen to while the effects of sound are less variable, but also have an important role, in them we can find sounds like: birdsong, voices, shots, sounds of frogs and sounds of different animals that inhabit the jungle.
Kolibri has a great gameplay if that could be said, since it has good sized characters with great skills that are usually fantastic for any player, all the movements of the famous hummingbird are easy to perform, that is: any novice could play it without any problem
The video game has many objectives and one of the most important is to release each friend of the hummingbird that are scattered throughout the jungle, for this the protagonist has extremely great and unique skills that help us to break down or overcome any obstacle or enemy
The protagonist has unique powers ranging from using a shot that acquires in the first level or move quickly through the jungle to avoid any enemy slower than our protagonist. Note: to save our friend we will have to go to the faded flowers and eliminate any enemy that is in it
By releasing all our colibri friends, our protagonist will make a screen jump or jump to the next level. Note: in this video game we do not have extra lives, that is to say that if we are eliminated quickly we appear again in the same place that we are eliminated
The video game has a total of 20 long levels, all filled with a good amount of items, power-ups, weapons and rings that will serve to protect us from the impact of enemies. Note: we will have to avoid certain animals such as chameleons and frogs as they will kill us instantly if they touch us or hit us with their tongues.
In summary Kolibri is one of the most rare games I have played in my life, but it was also one of the video games that marked my childhood, and without a doubt it is a very funny game, since it has a very picturesque and unique protagonist, also has magnificent graphics types of a wildlife or an animated jungle, also gutter with a unique game mode where we have to manipulate a beautiful hummingbird that has great skills, all accompanied by a soundtrack that steals our hearts.
