Retro Gaming - General Chaos (Genesis/Mega Drive)
Hi to all Steemiant colleagues today I will present you this magnificent video game called "General Chaos" was developed in the year 1993-94 by the two big companies Electronic Arts and Game Refuge Inc only and exclusively for the video console Mega Drive, years later it was developed for different consoles such as Super Nintendo SNES, Genesis etc. The game has a magnificent theme based on a military history full of action and humor.
General Chaos has a very simple story and everything started many years ago when Chaos and Havoc generals are in a tough battle of powers with the sole objective of conquering the capital of the enemy side, which are: Viceria or Moronica, to achieve it they will face two big battalions commanded by different generals mixing and combining loyalty with flamethrowers, machine gunners, rocket launchers etc. It is a great battle and a very peculiar and funny military history.
The technical section of this great title called General Chaos is very well achieved as it has characters from a fairly large sprite, very well animated and with a considerable size, it also has a high range of colors in cartoon style, but very original and that the title was based on a great military war, the scenarios are very complete and varied with a different theme in each of the levels, without a doubt General Chaos is one of the best video games based on a massive military war.
The melodies and FX of General Chaos are especially good, since all their tracks have the typical stamp of almost all Electronic Arts games, each level has a different track that will vary depending on the situation in which we find ourselves, in most of the confrontations will not hear clues, but a series of sound effects ranging from explosions, shots, voices to the steps of each character, no doubt the effects perfectly recreate each situation of the game. General Chaos has a great gameplay if that could be said, since it has characters of good size and with a totally simple operation, that is to say that any novice could perform almost all the movements of each of the characters without any problem and without that the difficulty of play prevents it
During the game we will have to choose 1 of the 4 selected teams, each team has a total of 5 strong warriors with a limit of totally different weapons for each of them, the teams will also have different control systems for each of them
The game has an isometric vision and a game combination between strategy and action that is usually very surprising for the players, because if we approach many of the opposing team or the enemies automatically a melee is produced that is usually very funny for players
Each warrior has common skills such as kicking, hitting, blocking the attack or blows so that he does not lose his life and have a little more playing time. Note: if the player loses all his life points quickly he will fall on the ground and finish the level
We can also help any soldier fallen from our troop, we just have to stand by the wounded soldier's side and resort to the option of calling a doctor to revive him. Note: there is a limit to use this option but we can also get it along the way
We will have only two game modes, fast battle and campaign mode we can also play multiplayer against the computer but always with the same objective of stealing the city from the enemy without being defeated. General Chaos is a totally recommendable game to play in family and spend a pleasant moment.
Nothing more to say General Chaos is one of the best war-action videogames in the history of Sega, since it is a title based on a military war where we will have to confront the enemies until we take over the capital of the enemy side, together characters of good size, with incredible abilities and animations a little funny if so you could say, each of the scenarios have different characteristics accompanied by sounds and effects that go perfectly with the type of game.
