Slay the Spire!

Just bought Slay the Spire yesterday and I've been absolutely loving it! It is a rogue-like deck building card game that I would simply describe as Hearthstone's dungeon runs on steroids. The gameplay is fun and challenging even if you are reliant on some random elements. I've been absolutely addicted to the game so far.

You start out with a pretty basic deck and have to select your on the map to advance through the dungeon. You never know what lies behind each node and every single run plays out quite differently. As you defeat monsters you collect new cards for your deck. You can also upgrade your cards and acquire a large variety relics that help improve your deck.

So far I've played two different classes that each play fairly differently. One has a more aggressive style while the other plays a bit more passively. Of course that won't always be the case as you can tailor your deck any way you see fit. I can be a bit random and on many runs the deck synergies just don't quite work the way you want but when things come together your deck can get very powerful.

Each level ends with a crazy boss fight that always manage to push the limits of your deck. I've found the game quite challenging so far which helps to keep the replayability quite high.

I'm loving the game so far and can't wait to dive back in!
