Great post. Mario Kart 64, lived in a house with three other guys. We'd get high and play, for hours and the insanity that ensued. Now of days, battleblock theater and Rocket league are great for couch multiplayer, but it's sad more games don't make it an option.
I'm hoping the Switch will deliver some more games like this in their upcoming title announcements. Maybe something that'll be a new Nintendo party game classic?
Even if they do, I'm afraid they will never capture the nostalgia we have for the old games. Goldeneye after all these years just doesn't hold up without rose colored glasses.
