Why i Predominantly Play Indie Games

in #gaming7 years ago (edited)

Back when i was 16 i got my first computer... a used Dell Inspiron 1525, and of course, i wanted to play every big triple A game i could get my hands on.

But what i didn't know after downloading 15 different games was that my computer couldn't handle any of them ... well at the time it could but at lowest settings.

Being the person that i was I went searching for games that i could play on https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

What i found was literally a different world ... a world of indie games that looked nothing like what was shown on TV.

I fell in love with games like

A really soothing simple game.

and Cube World the game that i look for every year for updates from the developer and pray he put up something new.

No... i have a job and spent my money on a real rig... but my taste in games haven't changed. Yes, i can play the triple A titles all with 60fps. but i still spend my time playing and enjoying the stories i can create with indie games.

Games like

It's not all about the graphics, the 60 fps and the way the story has been told the same way hundreds of times, For me, it's all about the stories I can create.

With just one sandbox game, I can create an entire universe.
