Good morning my players from different consoles and pc, welcome to a post more of the virtual kitchen. Today we will talk about one of my favorite PC games, both for its plot divided into three sagas and its form of game in 3rd person.
But first let's read a short review of the game provided by Wikipedia:

Mafia II is a third-person action video game developed by 2K Czech, a subsidiary of 2K Games. It is the continuation of the first part Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, although it does not have direct continuity with the argumentative line of this. Its creation and development was announced on August 22, 2008 at the Leipzig Games Convention. The official poster of the game, the logo and the trailer were presented to the public.

lets talk about the game.png

We embody the skin of Vito Scaletta an Italian immigrant in the United States in the 40s, starting a difficult life since childhood and only having a bad example of "best friend and brother" to Joe Barbaro, driving him to small crimes like robberies in stores and jewelry, until they almost caught the two and Vito decided to surrender to save Joe, because he knew the Italian language was saved from prison to serve as a military in the second war.

When he returned from the war due to an injury, thanks to a favor from Joe and his "contacts" they managed to get him a medical permit so that he would no longer participate in the war and thus continue his misguided life, reaching the point of being part of a Mafia family, sell drugs, kill people and IRONICALLY cause a war between the influential families of the city Empire Bay (A fictional city just for the history of the game).

pro, cons and conclusion.png

Pro:

Apart from the excellent graphic engine of the game, the hooking plot, the driving simulator that makes your life a hell on snowy and rainy days, the clothes of the time you can buy, weapons and vehicles also set in the time.

Cons:

The story although it is VERY good does not convince the end, it leaves some gaps, the game is very linear in the story and it does not give you much freedom although it is an open world, it is very easy to make money in the game despite that you can steal, the soundtrack is good, just that I'm not a music lover of 40 or 50.

Conclusion:

The game for my taste is excellent I recommend it 100% for mafia lovers like the Godfather, the story is very enriching, although it is based more on the story of the character than on the structure of the Mafia (as in Mafia 1 that is the other way around) but do not play it if you think it's another Grand Theft Auto, it's not a fancy plot, it's very realistic, without side quests, yes, it has several DLLs that allow you to have alternate adventures with Joe Barbaro and Tony Vendetta…
If you really value the history of the games and its plot, I recommend it. That's if you play Mafia 1 first, even though the frames do not connect FROM ALL, but you will understand a mission that happens in the game that connects with Mafia 1.

I leave you a video of the game to make your mouth water with this excellent masterpiece of 2k Czech:
