Undertale: Why Undyne And Sans Are So Difficult

its been awhile since I did a theory blog post, this one is going to be on why I think Undyne and Sans are so damn hard.

If you do a genocide run, Undyne is 2x as hard than in neutral/pacifist. When Monster Kid catches up to you, he will realize how evil you are, he will attempt to stop you, when you hit him, Undyne comes in and takes a massive hit. And with determination, she transforms into Undyne The Undying, and she does major damage, you will lose like 5-10 HP when you get hit, lucky you have frames where you won't get hurt for a few seconds. I believe you are the boss, and Undyne is trying to stop you, she is the undergrounds last hope. So I think that's why she is hard. When you defeat her, Alphy's, who was watching the fight, evacuates everyone in the Hot Land. Now onto Sans. Again, you are the boss and Sans is trying to stop you, Sans is avenging everyone you killed. And Sans' attacks issue Karmatic poison, that depletes your HP when you get hurt, and no invincibility frames. Sans will dodge your attack each time you swing at him. Also during the fight, you take damage at the menu, so you have to be quick when healing or attacking. It took me like a day to beat Undyne and a month to beat Sans. Killing Papyrus is all it takes for Sans to hate you. Sans catches wind earlier in the game when he said "you're going to have a bad time" And he notices when you don't care to play with Papyrus' puzzles. So this game does a good job teaching you that concept.
