RE: Zelda: A Link between Worlds on DS
I learned about this one earlier this week and plan on picking up a copy tomorrow from Walmart. The last Zelda game I played was the Super NES A Link to the Past so this one seems to be right up my alley. Great write up by the way.
I think you are making the correct choice. This one is almost exactly the same play style as "A Link to the Past" and that was the primary reason that I enjoyed it so much.
I also picked up a copy of "Ocarina of TIme' which was an amazing game way back when... but playing that game on a small screen such as the DS has wasn't as awesome as I had hoped it would be.
Just saw your reply, my apologies for the late reply.
I am quite happy with A Link Between Worlds so far. I am not all that far into it as I am having to break up play sessions quite a bit (real life getting in the way). So far though, it is a great game.
its one of those games that are perfect for people who have situations where "real life gets in the way" for sure. The controls are simple and only a few of the boss battles were truly challenging so yeah, i think it is a great game.
No worries on the late reply.
I definitely see your point about this being a great pick up and put down game. Save points are easy to find and somewhat plentiful.
I hope we see more Zelda games in this style as I prefer it quite a bit more than 3D ones.
I agree. While i like the 3-d games, i feel as though, especially on the 3DS that the small screen makes it a bit well, not as awesome as I would like it to be.
Also in OOT whenever you turn the game off, it takes you waaaay TF back to your original village, which results in an annoying and senseless walk back to whatever you were working on before.
