PUBG Mobile Adding New Mode

To say Player Unknown’s Battle Grounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile) is a hit is an understatement. Earlier this month, it was announced on the PUBG Mobile Facebook page that the game has passed 600,000,000 downloads. That is six hundred million downloads. That is a lot. Every so often there are a few updates that come along that make the game slightly better or different. This update is more of a helpful one for a small minority of people.

Proving players are the focus

According to the website Colour Blind Awareness.org there are about 4.5% of the population of the planet suffering from color blindness. Their breakdown is 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women.

While this may sound like a miniscule number of people to introduce a special mode of the game for, it just shows fans are the focus here.

Other interesting statistics

Keep in mind these statistics are from PUBG Mobile.org and are from about a year ago so they are out of date but still pertinent. These stats are for the Early Access version of the PC version.

The AKM was used in 114 million instances, out of nearly 48 billion equips, making it the most popular weapon in the game while the Tommy Gun was used a measly 617,268 times.

Nearly 2.3 million care packages were delivered in the game (those drop boxes everyone makes a mad dash for), nearly 3 billion hours were logged in game, and over 130 million chicken dinners were earned.

Popularity continues

It is not clear if there will be an end to PUBG or the mobile counterpart anytime soon. As long as there are players playing and buying things such as season passes or outfits then the game will continue in some form or another.

The 3rd party market is extremely prolific on offering items that assist in playing PUBG on many platforms. Amazon has a great many of the as well as eBay - both offering great prices.
