Blip The Digital Game Commercial from 1977
If you think the Nintendo Game Boy is the first portable gaming system then you are wrong. While that was a hugely successful portable, it was far from the first. Way back in 1977, Tomy released Blip The Digital Game onto the market in the United States.
This portable plays one game, similar to Pong, with a glowing light that is controlled via three buttons. Check out the commercial to get an idea of what was cutting edge in 1977.
