CHRIS PAUL WITH HOUSTON ROCKETS EQUALS NBA CHAMPIONSHIP

          Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets.  Wow!!!   How exciting!!!  Too good to be true! I have been a long time supporter and fan of the Houston Rockets. This could be the trade that puts them to championship level.  Can they possibly beat the  reigning   World champions Golden State Warriors? With a resounding, "Hell  Yeahh."  The defense  will need help and this I think is where Chris Paul can help with his presence and persona alone.  He just will not allow poor effort by his teammates on the defensive end. He plays hard nose, gritty, man on ball  defense and will accept no less from his teammates.The Rockets are primed and  already have the talent.  They have the shooters and the "slashers/drivers "  that can attack the rim.  Playmakers that can see the floor and make the plays.  A bench that can give relief and support the starters. With this , we have the coach who has implemented the right system for these group of players. The offense is very, very good.  It's exciting to watch and the players love this  style of play.  

   

        Now, you add to this , Chris Paul. Wow!!!  You've just added  what the Rockets were missing last year in the playoffs.  You've added a floor general and  leader.  Someone who is tough and gritty.  One that doesn't take  any "crap" from other players  nor with his own teammates. He will demand  his teammates to perform at a high level. He emphasizes  and  believes  in defense. That each player should be accountable for  guarding his man as well as playing team defense. Teammates will  not be allowed to "dog" it on defense.  Chris Paul will call them out in front of everybody.  He will not hold back. He will definitely express his opinions. He is mentally tough and has "street cred." among his peers.  He is well respected as someone who does not back down , gritty, incredibly hard working, and competitive as hell. 

             I think the biggest impact Chris Paul will  have is his effect on  James Harden.  Just with his presence, James Harden will be force to play better defense.  Chris Paul will not allow Harden to not man up and actually play defense.  After all , James Harden can play defense if his motivated. It's just that  he is so outstanding  on the offensive side that no one has called him out on his  lackluster  effort on defense.  Chris Paul will not allow this.  With this, Chris Paul will  keep James Harden focus and concentrated  on the game. To not lose his intensity and to compete at all times. 

           

           Boy, as a fan, you don't know how excited I am for the season to begin.  In terms of "basketball smarts" the Houston Rockets just shot up to the roof with Chris Paul on the team.  Game changer for the team. We now can compete with anybody.  We will be tough mentally and our confidence to beat the  top teams will soar to new levels.  We will enter the arena with a noticeable "swag" and confidence. That's the effect of a Chris Paul.  The team is already multi- talented with a good system in place. Chris Paul , in a nutshell, gives the team, the coaches, and most importantly the fans, the belief that yes , the Houston Rockets can and will win the NBA championship.
