Destiny 2 BETA - Review by Spartan23R
So the Destiny 2 beta started three days ago for me since I’ve pre-ordered the final product. I’ve been playing some PVP matches and played the strike mission a couple of times.
The beta starts with an introduction mission that’s pretty impressive. The graphics looks nice and the audio sounds much better than Destiny 1. Too bad I’ve been playing Overwatch a lot lately, so getting back to a 30fps shooter felt a little “eghh”. This waterfall looks pretty nice in-game though. Playing this on a PS4 Pro w/ UHD-TV.
The beta itself is very short; it’s the introduction mission, a strike and two pvp maps/modes. Rumour is this Sunday they will bring a piece of the farm (the social place) online, so I will definitely check that out.
You can try out each class with their new subclass available. Like always I played the Hunter class, the arc strider is very dope but the cool down times are terrible. I guess since this is still a beta all those things will change before the final release. The sub class screen looks much better now than the last effort.
So how does it play? Well it still plays just like Destiny, only it looks and sounds better and we get fresh content. I’m really wondering where Bungie is going with this in the final game. It’s it going to feel like an extension to the content from the first game, or are they really going to make it feel fresh with all those new elements they are bringing to this second game. Because the beta is gameplay-wise bringing nothing new to the table.

Huge Destiny fan here. I only bought the PC version so I will have to wait until August to test the Beta. It is hard to sit on the sidelines. From what I can tell the community is pretty stoked right now. Have fun. Let us know what the new social area is like when it opens up.
