We had advertising in our faces with television but for the most part, when gamers were near a television, it was not to watch TV. lol We also had word of mouth and of course there was that one idiot that thought everything was the bomb. Every school had one.
Exactly. Not many of us back then had more than one television so it was gaming or TV. As gamers, it was easy to understand that gaming would win almost every time.

Yeah Streets of rage was great. Even though games have evolved so much, like Skyrim, I feel like back then NES SNES SEGA had amazing games!
I agree, back then it seems games were amazing. There were plenty of turds but the iconic titles were worthy of that moniker.

Yeah but gaming then had no room for "TV" it was turn on channel 3 or 4 and click the NES power button and go go go! haha
