Anthem - Is it just another EA Game?
()
Anthem is an upcoming online multiplayer action role-playing video game which is hyped by many gamers around the world, developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. And that's were the first problem occurs. The Publisher EA. Many EA users feel absolutely scammed by EA due to pay2win games, server issues, game lags and problems... and so on. That's the negative reason why the game will not succeed.
The Vip Demo
The Vip Demo launched on the 25th until the 27th of January and started with a huge blow called the loading screen. As clever as EA usually is they give away to every one who pre-ordered the game 3 friend codes. Because of that anyone in the world think that a demo like this would need many servers, but EA thought differently. They launched the Demo only with a couple of servers. On Twitch every Streamer even DrDisrespect wasn't able to join the game. They were streaming themselves sitting and waiting to finally play it. It worked after several hours, but even then it worked perfectly fine.
The Open Demo
The Open Demo launched one week after the first one and was completely free to everyone. In this demo the loading issues in the main menu were fixed which still is a complete joke due to the fact that you had to pay 60 euros for the Vip Demo just to look at the start menu. But there were still loading issues. For example you enter a cave and sometimes you are stuck 10 min in a loading screen. Still in this demo you could experience the game and try out different Javelin classes (Javelins are classes like Mage or Assassain)and the boss fights which were actually fun to play for me.
Fake Trailer?
The first scene of the trailer was in some kind of headquarter called Fort Tarsis where you could edit your javelins look and equipment, talk to strangers and demolish and craft weapons. In the trailer there was a huge crowd, but in the actual that crowd was just gone. There only were a couple of people in the Fort standing around.
The other fake news was the graphic design. In the trailer the graphics were gorgeous, but in the demo it looked like unfinished. The graphics were great tho, but comparing it to the actual trailer, that's nothing.
The game was fun to play, especially with friends. But to be honest it was a complete downgrade compared to the actual trailer. I personally think they should fix the loading issue, because this problem might be the case that many players won't enjoy the game as they play the story. As for me I will play this game with a couple of buddies finishing the story and having a look at the endgame.
How do you like Anthem? Do you think it can be successful?
