They are billions is an RTS PC game to which I am currently addicted. It is set in a steam-punk zomby apocalypse world. So it is extremely cool. It has a very retro RTS feel it. Think Age of Empires but with more complicated economics and without aggressive expansion. The aim of the game is to hold versus massive zombie waves while building a city on a zombie infected map. So you need to defend to survive and clear the map from the zombies to expand. The game mechanic which makes everything complicated is that if a zombie infects a building that building will spawn zombies. So the zombie infection can spread rapidly over your whole city. If one zombie gets into your residence area you are completely f*cked.
It has been in early access for about two years. Currently, there is a survival mode, custom mode and challenge of the week but no campain. And the campaign should be awesome, because steam-punk and zombies :D The campaign finally got announced for next week. Wooo
I played it for a while. It is a really difficult game. Haha.. will find time to play it again when I feel up for the challenge

I think setting up a good economy in the beginning is pretty hard. When you get through to the first couple of waves it is smooth sailing until you get to the last wave. The have a larger variety of difficulty options now so as you improve you can climb the difficulty ladder :)
