[Game Review] Pocket Morty, a Gritty Pokemon Clone That Gives You a Weird Sense of Joy

Who haven't watched Rick and Morty and didn't instantly love it? If you haven't watch the show, I suggest you do now cause you're missing out.

Rick and Morty is a show from Adult Swim which are meant for college stoners audience. It tells the exploit of a genius grandfather, Rick who is always gone to a wacky interdimensional adventure with his grandson Morty.

The show tell us that there are hundreds of Ricks from hundreds of dimension (Because of infinite dimension have an infinite possibilities) that forms a government to fight against their common enemy. Thus since there are hundreds of Ricks, there are also hundreds of Mortys with different features from different dimension. The game follows that logic but twisting it and making it like a pokemon game where Rick collects Morties and make them battle each other.

The multiplayer feature is exceptionally good. You can choose your own character, not just Rick and pit you with other wacky characters.

I chose Sleepy Garry.
In the first level of the game you'll be hanging out in Mortyland and as you further leveled up you can move to other realm.

In the game you can battle other characters and their Mortys.

Also you can catch wild Mortys using Morty manipulator chip which can be used when the Mortys got weaker.

The game monetize itself by selling loterry tickets.

Which in return can be use to earn cash, items and rare mortys.

Yet the game is still very playable even without spending a dime because rare Mortys are still appear from time to time.

All and all, the game is highly addictive because there are hundreds of variation pops around every corner and there are a lot of player to fight with. Unfortunately there are still some bugs on the game that makes you frustrated sometimes. The most annoying bug is that when you battle and the other player ragequit on you then sometimes the battle freezes on you.

Hopefully they got it fixed soon because this game is a fresh new take from the sea of Clash of Clans clones out there.
