Dark Devotion

There is a new game on Kickstarter that believe everyone should pledge to. This game is called Dark Devotion, and is a gloomy, rougelike, RPG. You can download the lite demo right now on Kickstarter or Gamejolt if you wish to play it, and I think you should at least try it out. I’ll try not to sound too cliché when talking about it, and by that I mean when I call it a pixel version of dark souls. I know that’s what literally every game reviewer calls anything slightly hard or rougelike, but this one is legitimately like that. It has the exact same feeling that dark souls has. It’s hard to describe but it’s pretty much when you’re playing and you’ve got all this good stuff and you’ve gotten pretty far, and you have a pit in your stomach telling you not to go any further or risk losing progress. It’s just a beautiful feeling. The team who worked on it ( Hibernation workshop) obviously put a lot of care into this project, and if you take a quick look at their website you’ll see that they put over 28 months into this game, and have hundreds of branching paths and rooms to explore which adds and immense amount of replayability. I would definitely check out this game and pledge to it (I mean I already have I put €35 into it) so I think you should too. The game has even been steam greenlit (which technically isn’t saying too much I mean a lot of bad games have been steam greenlit just google Crypt of the Serpant King) and even their website is beautiful. I can’t rate it or anything because it’s not fully out but from what I see it’s a 9/10 in my opinion.
