What conditions have to be fulfiled to call a RPG game the best in history? Is it storyline? Is it mechanic? Or maybe is it a great open world with massive amount of secrects to explore and things to do? We have a full stack of question and due to we will describe features of the best RPG game in history.

STORY LINE
In my opinio the most important thing in the RPG game is a unique story line which has a lots of twists. Story builds an immersion between player and the game world.

Everyone likes to save the world, however this solution was presented so many times that players are bored with it. In that case a good solutiion is to move awary from the hero scheme. Such a way was presented e.g. in Tyranny.

TALKING COMPANIONS
In this case I like to present the Baldurs Gate example. Bioware game shows companions have their history, motivations, goals and feelings. In comparison with Dragon Age or Mass Effect trilogies, BG presents more complicated treatment of player companions.

Best RPG game has to take into account that companions or even NPC have to be interesting, show their own separate history which is consistent with the game story.

INTERESTING WORLD
It's hard to say if open world is better than closed one. Some players like to explore and do side quests on huge area. Other like to do it all things on limited area. Anyway, game world have to be consistent, unique, full of secrets and staff which encourages the player to explore it.

COMPLETELY NEW CLASS SYSTEM
Everyone knows warriors, mages and assassins. I think that players would like to check brand new classes that are not repeatable in other games.

The interesting idea was presented in Bethesda games (e.g. Skyrim) or Paradox Interactive (Tyranny). In the mentioned games you may fuse classes. It's fun to play warrior who may cast fireballs.

GOOD EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT
The best idea for equipment management you may meet in Diablo series. You have got your character and you can put any item on the template of your character. One click and it's done. It looks worse in Skyrim (without mods) where you have to explore your bag to find anything useful. Due to I hate following game.
