Computer games could damage brain memory?

As the title says computer games damage brain. Is it right?
Let's look some of the views.
As when we were kids our parents don't allow us to play games more than a hour. I think i am right but there is a logic behind this. They want all of us to build our knowledge using books. These computer games distracts us from our carrer or goals. It's not harmful but it increases concentration of our mind and helps us to analyse any situation clearly.
Yes i agree that it damages eyes and health for prolong situation but increases our mind thinking ability. It's also seen that computer games also helps in treating autism.
