Being as addicted to TV shows as I am, it makes perfect sense that I get excited about the Emmys every year. What made me all the more excited for this year, though, is the fact that Game of Thrones season 6 was downright phenomenal. As such, it isn’t any wonder why they have gotten more nominations this year, particularly in the ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series’ category.I’m not the only one who is ecstatic about the news, of course. Check out how the Game of Thrones female nominees reacted on their social media accounts here.Maisie Williams aka Arya Stark went full-on corny pun on us when she found out:
Lena Headey aka Cersei Lannister, a fellow nominee, tweeted about how proud she is of Maisie along with a bunch of fist bump emojis:
Emilia Clarke took to Instagram and posted a photo along with her fellow nominees while poking fun at herself (gotta love this khaleesi!):
With 3 out of 6 nominees in that category being from the same show, what do you think? Will one of them win big for Game of Thrones? The other nominees for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series are Maggie Smith for Downton Abbey, Constance Zimmer for UnREAL and Maura Tierney for The Affair.Peter Dinklage aga Tyrion Lannister and Kit Harington aka Jon Snow have also been nominated for ‘Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series’ in this year’s Emmys.
