The Khalissi and her Dragon

I guess there are many threads to my life, but the three or four I'll bore you with here are my loves of the writings of George R.R. Martin (aka Game of Thrones) Old British Aeroplanes and the style genre known as Steampunk - and of course Photoshop. Whilst the Steampunk style is great fun, to create a world there should be story and music too. Steampunk seems to be without music so I'll leave that for others, so I'll move on to the stories.
Steampunk influence extends from the writings of Jules Verne and H.G Wells in the 19th century, but, despite a few good films and some niche -almost Fan- fiction, seems to have petered out towards the Millennium to be supplanted by Fantasy, first The Lord of the Rings and now Martin's Game of Thrones. So. Thought train went like this... Steampunk:Great but no great stories, Game of Thrones: great female leads, dragons, hmmm Why no Steampunk dragon stories? Then I came across an article about an old biplane called a De Havilland dragon and I thought "I can do this!" Well, not write the story, but me and Photoshop can sure set the scene!
