Indonesian Gamelan Instruments

This is one of the great kinds of percussion instruments in the world. Banging on pots and pans is one form of music. Indonesian Gamelan music may have some similarity to musical pots and pans, but it is a far more refined and noble music. In fact, seeing the instruments and watching a performance is really a pleasure. These examples are housed at Arizona's Musical Instrument Museum and seeing them took me back to a time when I attended an enjoyable live performance. The decoration and the puppets are really beautiful also.
