Ask him to join steemit. He probably would get a lot of votes for sharing his works in a cc-by license. They could be old works or new ones specifically made to be posted here. I would surely vote for him many times.
Actually, I'm going on a few forums right now and suggest more artists do the same. Steemit sounds like the perfect place to monetize this type of content. It already does so with photography, why not with already highly sought after game art? Brilliant.
