Easy 10 steps making of Cappy：マリオの帽子の作り方

A while ago, I made “Cappy” from Mario Odyssey and mentioned that I will do the detailed version soon. Yes the time has came I should show you step by step version. Remind you, I am not a perfectionist so it’s quite rough!(But it matched up nicely in the end. Tah Dahhhh!!!)

マリオ・オデッセイに夢中なチビ・ビスケットのために作ったキャッピーがお友達にも話題で増産中です。一緒に寝たよとか、学校のカバンに忍ばせて登校したとか聞くと嬉しくてつい増産。材料費はダイソーのフェルト使用で１５０円かからずなので男児へのプレゼントに最適！（フェルトは３色なので初期投資３００円ですが２個作ルコとができます。６００円（赤３枚、白１枚、黒１枚）で５個作れる感じです。）

1. make the pattern model. I used 2 A4 papers, I just draw them roughly with pencils then go over with marker to decide which line I should be following. 2. Using the pattern I made, I cut out felts. Black,White and red for the eyes, and big red for the cap. Change the eyelid design (The black part) as you desire. Important; You will need 2 of the cap beak, and eyes. Also, the long part of the cap body should be hold-center so it’s one long big part.
   型紙どうりにフェルトをカットしてください。引っ張れば多少伸びるのがフェルトのいいところなので、小さいことは気にせず思い切って切りましょう。帽子のつばは２枚、目も２枚づつないとあとでもう一度切る羽目になりますよ。（よくある）

3. Get all the pieces for Cappy’s eyes, and sew then together.
   
   キャッピーの目を作ってください。

4. After the eyes, you should make the beak. Sew 2 pieces together, put them inside out, and sew the rim.
   
   
   つばを作ってください。２個合わせて縫ってひっくり返してもう一度！

5. Well now the cap is ready for production. Match the middle (front) of the cap top and cap side(The long part) and continue matching to the end.
   
   
   帽子を作成します。まず、帽子の上部とサイドの真ん中を合わせてまち針でマーキングします。

6. Figure out how long the cap side have to be, mark them then sew together to make a roop. (Hat side roop) Cut out the excess cap side.
   
   
   なんということでしょう、帽子のサイドの長さはあっていなかったのです。帽子のサイドの長さ、ちょうどいいところで縫い合わせいらない部分は切り捨ててなかったことにします。

7. Sew the Cap top onto the cap side, put it inside out. Now you can see it ending.
   
   帽子上部をサイドと縫い合わせます。裏返したら帽子っぽくなってるはず。

8. Attach the cap beak. It’s bit tricky here, check out my picture for how I did it…
   
   
   つばを縫い付けます。どんな感じで縫いつけたかは写真を参考に・・・。

9. Attach the eyes.
   
   目を取り付けてください。

10. fold the bottom end of the cap, and sew it to keep it in place. Personally, I Don’t like to sew under the beak so I start beside the beach through the cap until the other side of the beak comes under my sewing machine… I think it gives nice soft look. But if you want solid design, you can sew under the beak too.
    
    帽子の一番下を折り曲げて縫います。つばの下はあえて縫わないほうが綺麗だとオムのですが、お好みで！

Now Enjoy! You can change the eyes to initials for normal Mario or Luigi(Green) look.

同じ型紙で、マリオの帽子もルイージの帽子もファイヤーマリオの帽子も、アイスマリオの帽子も・・・作れます。

Tah Dahhhh! I also added fire ball and ice ball with knitted pon-pons. Little Biscuits made his own ice ball, that's why it's wee tiny one!!　S for Mr.Busicuits, actually!!!
ポンポンでファイヤーボールも作成しました。が、家のそとへの持ち出しは禁止しました。真っ黒どころかドロドロになります。
