Mikado is a pick-up sticks game originating in Europe. In 1936, it was brought from Hungary (where it was called Marokko) to the United States and named pick-up sticks.

Pick-up sticks or pick-a-stick physical and mental skill in which a bundle of "sticks", between 8 and 20 centimeters long, are dropped as a loose bunch onto a table top, jumbling into a random pile. Each player in turn tries to remove a stick from the pile without disturbing any of the others.
Gain points when you successfully pick up a stick. If you are keeping score, then you will need to add up each person’s points after each turn. Points are assigned based on the color of the sticks. Write down the points that each player earns at the end of his or her turn.[9]
Black = 25 points
Red = 10 points
Blue = 5 points
Green = 2 points
Yellow = 1 point

While waiting for our Professor my classmate and I played this, reminiscing our childhood days. It is still extremely fun and challenging.
