Ability

The playability of Rise of the Tomb Raider is similar to that of its predecessor (Tomb Raider). Lara Croft is the protagonist of the title and playable character of the story. Synopsis

Argument

A year after the events in Yamatai, Lara Croft tries to move forward with her life. Searching for answers, Lara returns to London to continue the investigations of her late father, Richard Croft. His father's research consisted in the search for myths and legends about the lost city of Kitezh and discover the secret of immortality. Her friend Ana tries to convince her not to waste her time on it. But Lara insists on moving forward with her goal and organizes an expedition to Syria, hoping to find the tomb of the Prophet of Constantinople, a very important figure in the search for Kítezh.
Once in Syria, Lara hires a driver to take her to the indicated coordinates. While they are in the car, she suspects that something is wrong. At that moment, a helicopter shoots them. Once in Siberia, they must face the low temperatures of winter. Lara and Jonah climb the cold mountains to get to the other side and see the ruins of the city. But the strong storm causes the snow to move, forming an avalanche. The two separate to take cover but still get trapped by the snow. Lara regains consciousness and tries to contact Jonah. She finds out that he is okay but she tells him to go home and not find her. Due to the low temperatures, Lara is forced to seek refuge to protect herself. In the evening, he intercepts the communications of La Trinidad again. They look for the ruins of the city like her, so she decides to get going. During his tour, he discovers that La Trinidad has its base of operations in an old Soviet facility of the place. There he meets Sofia, a professional archer and member of the Remnant. Characters

Lara Croft. She is a British archaeologist and protagonist of the title. She is the daughter of Richard and Amelia Croft. During her search, Lara faces a mysterious organization known as La Trinidad. In this installment, Lara becomes a more expert archaeologist and her convictions are much stronger than before. That leads her to not give up and help anyone who is in danger. He also knows a little more about his childhood and the relationship he had with his father. In the downloadable content Lazos de Sangre, Lara knows more about her mother and the personality of her parents. It is also mentioned that Lara has an uncle on her mother's side, who is holding a legal dispute over the Croft Mansion.

Jonah Maiava He is one of the four survivors of the ship Endurance, during the expedition of Yamatai. In this installment, Jonah continues in contact with Lara, becoming a skilful chef to an expedition partner for Lara, which makes him a main character in the restart of Tomb Raider. Although Lara does not want Johan to die because of him, he shows a strong conviction and a sense of loyalty to her, being willing to give his life to protect her.

Konstantin. He is the leader of the Military Forces of La Trinidad and the main antagonist of the title. Konstantin is Ana's brother. They both work together to get the Divine Source.
