Our impressions of the trial version of For HonorsteemCreated with Sketch.

About a week after Ubisoft released its all-new game For Honor, and having engulfed dozens of videos from promotion and gameplay in the last few months, will this game be the beginning of a new successful series? Here are our impressions of the trial version of For Honor and what makes it a different experience.

What is the story here?
Ubisoft has invited many players around the world to participate in the closed beta version (perhaps the last one) and we have also had our chance to join a historic war involving three different factions, Viking, Samurai and Knights.

Although the trial version does not give you much of the content of the story, but some things are clear .. These factions are composed of the strongest armies of the world Adkk, wars between them for thousands of years, and appear to be someone who believes that these wars are useful but necessary, The factions of peace between them. This character of Apollyon, who believes that the warriors are weak and the world is not allowed to be so, is trying to create events to re-create fierce wars between the Viking, the Knights and the Samurai.

We spent three days in the For Honor experience, and although the first day of the trial was fraught with problems beyond our control, a sudden halt to some PlayStation services and the weakness of the servers on which the game was based on PlayStation, we were able to join some of the games and experience the stages Available.

Normal play stages, sexy play style
This trial version of For Honor offers three stages of play, Dominion, Brawls and Duel. It's a fun experience. It's a bit different, although it may be boring and boring. After a short period of time, Brawls has developed a team of players against players. You have to defeat other players with the help of your companion. Duel, on the other hand, offers the same concept but depends on a player against a player. From my personal experience, I found that Dominion was more attractive to players, four players against four others but with armies of warriors in your ranks to control the goals. This means that fierce fighting takes place in every corner and is relatively longer than the other phases.

The first thing you'll notice in For Honor is the way you play it, and exactly the style you will use in defense and attack. There are mechanics that must be mastered using the control device of your device, where you have to know when you will protect your left or right side, knowing when to attack and when you will avoid the strike .. factors make the experience of playing more exciting and force the player to know his next steps accurately and attention to everything around him.

I have not found it difficult to learn the basics. You will have to go through a series of lessons and exercises before you go into group play, but you will have to adapt quickly and improve your reaction to avoid those strikes that will affect you greatly. It is somewhat slower, be it attack or defense.

I think everything is beautiful in For Honor related to the mechanics of this game, may seem simple at the beginning but the basis of the game, your defense of the right side will protect you from attacks by the opponent on that side, so if the latter protects his right hand you quickly change the point of your strike and corrected on The right to protect it, either from the top or from the left in this case .. There is also the possibility of breaking the defense of the opponent by approaching it and pressing the button square (on the Playstation 4) This will give you a slot to blow a blow or several quick strikes before the opponent back to defend . They also help you to identify any threat around you. For example, you will find yourself busy paying blows to one of your opponents, someone coming from behind you when you are out of defense (a backlash, a cheap but effective move in For Honor) and you will see a red signal alerting you Approach a potential threat to take appropriate action quickly.

There are not a lot of combat movements, and the whole is divided into light strikes and heavy blows, the first as its name suggests it is fast and does not cause much damage, heavy blows on the other hand it requires some parts of the second to implement (Believe me, every part of a second is a life difference or Death here) but they also do a lot of damage if they are implemented in the right way, and may even give you a chance to make another light strike.

Heroes
Each platoon provides you with three fighters you can choose from and customize each one. Each of them also has different abilities and weapons that work differently. It is good to get used to one category or maybe one warrior and work to improve his level and customize his equipment.

Viking have huge bodies and this will be obvious when playing with them, you will see everyone around you is somewhat small, their weapons vary between long and small groups and solid wooden shields surrounded by a metal frame, although some rely on their weapons to defend and attack as well. This category is characterized by the power of heavy blows .. While taking time as we mentioned in the past, but avoid those strikes often requires a very quick reaction, if you do not make sure to be a member of your team near you to help you .. I know I did not find anyone to help me Every time I get that blow behind me when I'm busy fighting another opponent in front of me!

The Knights are a noble class, that's what history taught us. But they are violent and Mmiton, thanks to their broad swords, which can tear off a group of enemies quickly. Their defense depends on shields too, I find them somewhat passive. They may be the best for those who want some Viking and samurai. Lots of changes to update.

The Samurai, on the other hand, the one you enjoyed playing, is quick to avoid hitting and hitting, sharp swords and long weapons that you use for defense too, and that's good for those looking for agility. Their equipment can be specifically tailored to suit the armor they wear, and for their heavy blows they can quickly cut off enemy bodies before they even think about defense.

A promising experience?
We did not have a lot of maps, which made me feel bored quickly, but it's beautiful, and in fact surprised me with its quality, which I did not do with many Ubisoft games .. But who knows, the quality of the graphics may be reduced later after the official release, it is the only studio that actually secures "This product is not yet complete, and the final version may be quite different." But with some hope, For Honor may be good for those who want to change the atmosphere of shooting games. This is a game that offers a different style and perhaps an exciting story in its individual development. Internet connection to be able to try it!

It's hard for me to advise you to buy the game as soon as it's released, especially since what Ubisoft has offered us was just a fix that has been fixed in some problems since the last trial. I still think I'll feel very bored after a week of playing. I do not think there are so many things you can do. Do it or at least do it differently, the battles do not even notice the intensity and strength, the absence of dialogues and sentences and all the war cries over the game makes me wish if this was a project from the team DICE, who really appreciates the value of the sound, yes .. There are clips to start each game Dominion gives you an enthusiastic boost, but it soon ends.
