RE: How You Can Benefit From Game Jams

in #game-jams7 years ago

This deserves an upvote, if only for the information it have!!

As a game dev I'm very beginner and don't intend to become a pro... in Libya there are no official game jams (but there are events for other computer/tech things) so I only participated in a few online jams... as solo!! and I only made entires for 3 of them!! Yaaay!!

All my games weren't good though... even in my standrads... not a problem as I make games to enjoy making them. and this is almost always the case!!

Also.. it's been more than year since I made anything gamedev related... except opening a program and playing a bit with it... but no game making.

Thank you very much @ahmadmanga, both for your upvote as well as your encouraging comment. :c)

Hey! Taking part in game development upon any level is great, whether pro, indie or otherwise. ^_^

Game Jams have a tendency of crunching upon what little time you have - so don't be too hard on your past efforts. Plus there are undoubtedly other challenges that get in the way.

Even so - this is a field where taking small steps each day is important. Don't worry too much about a regretted period of relative inactivity. There is always tomorrow.

Thank you again. :c)
