New High Volume Program

in #gallerani6 years ago (edited)

I’ve mentioned a few times now that I started a new training program.

It’s been tough but I’ve been loving it so far!

Today was the beloved leg day ;)

Warmup:

  1. 10 minute stair master
  2. leg extensions
  3. leg curls
  4. static stretching

Workout:

  1. dumbbell RDLs
  2. super squat press
  3. Leg press
  4. barbell RDLs
  5. walking lunges with dumbbells
  6. Leg extensions
  7. Leg curls
  8. Lying leg curls
  9. hip abductors

Have you ever trained with a high volume hypertrophy program before? It would be cool to hear your experience with this style of programming!

Hi there, I'm relatively new to the gym game and just wanted to ask if you did a particular cool down after your workout, and if so what did you do? I'd be interested in hearing more about that part of your workout too!

Hey there! Awesome that you're getting into the gym game, it's an absolute blast the more you get into it. Your body will begin craving the gym soon enough!

My cool down, ironically, is a 25-35 minute sauna session. Sometimes I do push ups and stretch, othertimes I will just do stretching. It depends on how the old joints feel!

Thanks for your reply!
Ah I see, would you have any advice or exercises that you recommend/ suggest staying away from as a beginner? 🙂
There is a lot of content out there and the more I research the more confusing it gets!
Any help given is much appreciated :)
