Messier 82 (M82) || Galaxy
Messier 82, also known as the "galaxy of the cigar", is a nursery of stars near the constellation of the Great Bear, 12 million light years away from Earth. It is the seat of titanic explosions, assists in the birth of stars by millions, and is in interaction with its neighboring galaxy, Messier 81, with which it collides.
