Futourist: Slovenian Blockchain project, which awards review writers

Futourist (Future Tourist) is a Slovenian blockchain startup, which will award review writers with crypto tokens Futourist Token (FTR). Users will be able to replace those tokens for money and spend it as they wish.

Most web content creators are not paid for what they create. Futourist intends to change this.

Futourist (Future Tourist) will be the first platform for writing reviews, which will reward users with crypto tokens. Users will receive a different number of crypto tokens for different types of reviews (text, image, videos).

Head of the Futourist team, Žiga Lukša, described their project as “upgrade of TripAdvisor, which rewards its users in a concrete manner.”

“Futourist solves the problem of content creators, where only a handful of people managed to turn their content into profits, while most content creators remain without anything. Platforms related to content don't pay their users for creating, sharing, or editing content. Here comes Futourist - with content rewarding. In this way, there is someone who has regular employment and creates content as a hobby, the possibility of using tokens, which can be converted into money, through legitimate help to other users of the Internet even in their free time. This comes quickly and without the many years of effort that you needed to get to the point where you began to generate money with your content," Lukša describes their solution for the problem of creators. He also adds: "With Futourist we will begin with rewarding reviews. When we prove that this concept is “drinking water”, we will go to other business models, where other online content will also be rewarded.”

Futourist has already partnered with the OpenHours platform, which will provide them existing data and infrastructure, and Futourist will upgrade it with blockchain technology and content rewarding.

Futourist will have crowdsale from February 20, 2018 to February 20, 2018. Their platform is expected to come to life in early 2019.
