After a few years in your home, you see the first signs of wear and tear of the house, the garden, and furniture. We provide you with useful advice on the care of furniture, parquet, and leather and we will explain what tools to use.
Living one's own home also means leaving marks: a scratch in the antique parquet after an evening of wild dances. Stains on the leather sofa after the visit of the grandchildren. Rust on the swing in the garden after a long winter.
But scratches, stains, and rust are not the ends of the world: with the correct treatment of furniture, parquet, and leather, you can extend the lifespan of your furniture for a long time and avoid signs of wear.

Treat the skin is worth it

The leather is a beautiful material, always in fashion, which lasts an eternity with the right treatment. Smooth leather and artificial leatherette can be cleaned with little water and detergent for delicate fabrics, the chamois must be cleaned with extreme care using a soft brush. The most worn parts can be lightly rubbed with a suede brush.
If you treat your skin regularly, you can enjoy your beautiful leather sofa or lounge chair for many years, if not for decades. In any case, the treatment and the care of the skin are paying.

The furniture gives the character and charm of the room. In order for your furniture to maintain its original splendor, we invite you to treat wooden furniture regularly and with great care.
Frequent use quickly causes wear on oiled and waxed surfaces that must be continually treated. Beeswax and wood oil are perfectly suited, as the wax and oil can be easily sprinkled with a cloth or brush in the direction of the wood fibers. Once the product has been penetrated, it goes to the polishing that will make the furniture shine like new.
Dirty spots and any water stains should be treated with fine-grained glass paper before the polishing treatment. Be careful with lacquered wood surfaces - in this case, it is better to avoid treatment with other substances.

How to correctly treat the parquet

Properly treating parquet is easier than you think: while the lacquered parquet must be treated and repaired by a specialist, for oiled parquet you can also resort to DIY. Periodically oiling the parquet restores the original splendor - scratches and holes can be filled with natural wax.
In the specialized shops, different wax sets are available in different shades of wood that make it possible to imitate the appropriate color and even reproduce the wood grain

Beware of rust

For many materials, regular treatment with a soft, damp cloth is sufficient. These include not only granite and marble but also metal. For the latter, however, care must be taken, at the end of the treatment, to perfectly dry the surface, otherwise, water stains may occur.
Unpainted steel surfaces are particularly prone to rust and in most cases to remove rust, fine steel wool should be used. The lacquered or powder-coated steel, as well as the stainless steel, are easier to treat: there are enough water and a little dishwashing detergent to remove the signs of dirt.

For outdoor cleaning often special machines must be used, for example, the pressure washer. The pressure washer is great for cement and stone coatings, while it can cause serious damage to the façade of the house. In case of doubt, it is better to seek advice from a consultant or specialized shops or professional cleaning companies.
