How to Make the Most Out of Steemit Before the Trolls Take Over
If you've been on any social media platform ever, you know that when online trolls invade a website they go hard. With some prior research at smosh.com I've put together a list of the trolls and what they'll do when they invade. Here they are:
1. The Pain in your Cryptocurrency
This is a combination of the Rabid Flamer, the Never-Give-Up/Never-Surrender, and the Lame Teenager. They live to pick fights about nothing and will do anything to piss of the author AND the curators. Don't entertain the nonsense. It's not worth it.
Solution: IGNORE.
2. The Spell Check you Thought you Turned Off.
The perfect combo of the Priggish Grammar Troll, the Bored Hater, and the White Knight. They think they're doing some huge favour to the community by trying to edit EVERY post with grammar modifications that do nothing to change the context of the post. We get it. When somethings spelled wrong it should be adjusted. Do you need to be an ass about it? No.
Solution: If someone points out an error change it if you want. Don't if you don't. The community decides how much they care.
3. The Begging to Be Flagged
A lovely combination of the Sharing Troll, the Fraud, and the Flooder. We all want to grow and be part of the community. If you do it by spamming, upvoting yourself, begging for upvotes, or posting crap, you're going to get flagged. Please don't be that guy.
Solution: Flag, Ignore and Repeat.
Until these trolls come to reign terror on Steemit (which they've already begun even though the site is still in beta), do your best to fend them off. Hopefully the quality of the community can stay relatively high.

4. The Steemit troll
"OMG great post, I loved it so much. Please upvote me and follow and we will become rich. Thanks!"
LOL spot on!!!!
