I saw this article on www.zerohedge.com and immediately thought of my many Aussie fellow Steemians. According to the report, during a night of boozing with his wife and friends, a 30 year old Australian diplomat fell to his death from his balcony on the 7th floor of the residence where he lived, located on Clinton Street in lower Manhattan. When I saw that a diplomat had fallen to their death from a building on Clinton Street, my first question was when he was scheduled to testify in the Uranium One case, but apparently that wasn't the reason for his fall.

Just moments before falling to his death, he said to a 24 year old companion, "I will prove to you that you can trust me. Let's play the trust game." This must be the Australian equivalent to the American red neck phrase, "Here, hold my beer. Watch this."

Maybe there should be breathalyzers located on elevators to allow access to higher level rooms based on sobriety levels, to protect us from ourselves. If that were the case, I'm guessing this guy would not have made it out of the basement.
