Are you referring to Men and Women?
I don't know about you, but I find people the polar opposite of me to be quite disagreeable (duh!). In a debate, it's fine taking a contrary position for the sake of developing the points of discussion. But no, we're not making life, a full time debate.
Agreeing to disagree is really just setting the problem aside, and even achieving that is actually rather hard. At-least it is for opinionated people such as myself. Much of the time, it's not even the other person's fault for behaving so oppositely and disagreeable, it's just how genetics work.
Apparently the X Chromosomes carry a larger instruction set than the Y Chromosomes. And it just so happens that women have two, and men have one. Not my decision folks, mother nature knows what's up!

Hygiene
Okay, so us ladies look a little different after a shower. . But, I bet you will be hard pressed to find a lady who doesn't wash every day.
And yet, I know from experience (and my father) that men can go extended periods without having a wash, and feeling not in the least bit dirty.
Why it requires constant reminder to maintain personal hygiene I do not know. I guess that's why they called the neanderthals cavemen.
Communication
Women are sentimental creatures. Aside from reminding the man to WASH, the purpose of communication is to share our feelings, and build a connection with the person we're talking to. It's also an opportunity for us to solidify our understanding of something, and work through it in our own words.
Communication is often enough for women to consider a problem "solved". The act of conversing with someone who really listens is often all that is required to make a women feel better. No further action is required.
Men on the other hand, require conversations to have purpose.
Men will listen up until the point they think they've heard enough to provide a solution.
Then, quickly put into action their plan to put out the fire.
It's all about purpose and efficiency. Problem, and Solution.
For men, expressing feelings and sharing their 'problems' through direct communication is difficult. Not only is it not 'manly' to talk about petty problems in the presence of a girl. It's also probable that he has already extended considerable effort to solving the problem to no avail. In this situation, man once again becomes caveman and retreats to his cave to side step the problem and occupy himself with other activities such as watching TV, playing games and getting even more dirty.
Mutual level of Attraction is inversely proportional with respect to time.
It is said that Men often become more attractive as they age. George Clooney frequently brought up as an example. Meanwhile women eventually give in to the laws of gravity. Some try to hang on with copious amounts of plastic surgery, but neither prevention or cure can win the battle against time.
Why do women care so much about maintenance? Because we all know about this chart!
Men and Women were created to complement each other, but imagine a world where opposites sparsely exist, a world perhaps where there was only one gender.. no, not talking about hermaphrodites, I'm thinking such as in the movie "No Men Beyond This Point".

For women to complain about the characteristics of men is pretty much a non sequitur since women have been in the genetic driver's seat for millenia, by choosing who to mate with and hence what characteristics to promote into upcoming generations.

The man in the video assumes that for most of the history of humankind, women have chosen who they sleep with. I'm not really sure I could support that because even going as far back as my grand mother, people in her generation had very little choice who they reproduced with.
Secondly, some traits are brought about through environmental cultivation and not encoded in genetics, a similar argument for the existence of a Gay gene would suggest that it is something that is 'passed' down through genetic inheritance but of course we know that homosexual men cannot reproduce organically.
You are correct. He specifically says women in the Western cultures have been in the driver's seat reproductively for a very long time. I think that was not the case in Eastern and other cultures up until recently, but it certainly is now. So choose carefully for the sakes of your daughters in future generations :-)
You just confirm why woman nag and man always like to come up with the solution. :-)
The solution is to be a good listener. Respond accordingly and show that you heard what she said. No other solution is required!

You are technically absolutely right, women like to know that they have been heard, hence my repetition now! Men like to fix things. If they cannot fix a situation, there is a sense of failure which can cause them to feel deficient.

It's all about chemistry. People emit Pheromones that either attract or repel others. Have you ever met someone you like to talk to, but find yourself uncomfortable to be around? That's chemistry. The pheromones are working against each other.
Many if not all Perfume companies use pheromones within their products to make the person smell more attractive to the opposite sex. So many conflicts of interest make these things .. so interesting!
Yes they do. Problem is, they generalize. Pheromones are much more complicated than throwing a scent into a bottle and saying it will attract a mate for you. :-)
